Fix-It-Friday #52

Fix-It-Friday at I♥faces is so refreshing and fun for me!
Here's the original:

I used Lightroom to do the whole edit. I cropped out the sign and the pink ribbon that's on the left. Then I wanted to use the preset Grapefruit Burst. It's a unique one, and it can't be used for just anything. I think it makes her pop! Then I added a slight vignette.

I might just have to emulate this with one of my daughter's next fall ☺

One of My Favorite Subjects

I always do a little shoot with my own kids around their birthday because I homeschool so they don't really have school pictures to document their years. I don't mind because I think the pictures I take are 10,000 times better. So, here is a collage of my beautiful little girl! She is four now, no longer a baby!

Got Cake?

Are you looking for a fabulous cake for your wedding, birthday, graduation...? I want to recommend Cakes by Breanne. Here are some pictures for a cake she made for my daughter. I was very, very impressed. All I did was tell her what kind of cake she wanted (marble), the theme of the party (Littlest Pet Shop), and her favorite colors! Not only did it look fantastic, it was absolutely delicious!

This week's contest for I ♥ Faces is Smiles. I thought that was totally appropriate for my "baby" today because it's her birthday today! She is a very joyful child!

Fix-It-Friday #51

Here is today's I heart faces Fix-It-Friday original:

It's a very nice shot! I love that you can see the snow flakes falling and that it's a close up shot, but you can still see the background.

Here is my edit:

I used Lightroom to edit this picture. I applied preset PH Fashion Shot III because I really like how it brings out the blue in her eyes and hat. I also applied a Vignette from the WOW collection of presets - Vignette Lt. 07.

Baby E and His Daddy & Mommy

I've really enjoyed watching Baby E grow up! He is so adorable and his mom and dad are super sweet! I'm a sucker for a vitage look, so I was thrilled when he had his overalls on...both pairs!

J&V - Gettin' Their Feet Wet

Here are some more pictures of the engagement session I had with J&V. Jester park is really beautiful right now. It flooded in March, so the lake area had a lot debris that we walked through. But we had fun taking off our shoes and getting int he water!

I Heart Faces - Collages Contest

The I♥faces contest this week is collages. I just recently started getting into creating collages for this blog. It is a way to creatively show off your work. For the challenge I used pictures from my most recent shoot because the images were fresh in my mind.

C&A's Engagement Pictures

This was an early morning shoot. The air was cool and crisp, the sun was just right, the wild flowers were popped up all over, deer were grazing on the American castle's lawn...it was absolutely gorgeous. We had fun walking around the Salisbury house and learning about it's history. I was delighted to be able to do this shoot!

I would love to be able to say I was doing this couples wedding, but I was already booked on their day. None the less, many - many blessings you two!

Fix-it-Friday #50

This is I ♥ faces Fix-it-Friday #50 original photo:

I like it because of the angel. I like the texture and colors of the building behind her, but the first thing I noticed is it was way too dark. I used Totally Rad presets in Lightroom to edit the photo. I lightened it using the auto tone. Then as I was scrolling down I really like the picture in the Bodie lite preset:

But because I loved the color I had to do it in color as well. I used Sweating Bullets lite and I added the Leonardo Vignette.
