Glimpses of 2014 So Far

You may think by how little I post here on my blog that I'm not doing very many photo shoots, not so. Blogging just always come last. So, every now and then I'll post a few from recent shoots.

In February I had a sleepless night that was well worth it. I had the awesome privilege of documenting the birth of my best friend's 4th child and 2nd daughter. It was an amazing experience!

My favorite subject are little kids, and this little guy was a cutie!

I have documented everything for this couple...their engagement session, their wedding, their maternity session and just last week I got to do their daughter's first photo shoot!

I'll try to do more of these glimpses of my work more often!

TP Family - "...fearfully & wonderfully made." Ps 139:14

This shoot is very close to my heart. I wanted it to be very special for them and I love the way it turned out! This family is very dear to me, and the little boy that is being formed in the womb, John, is very special. He has Hypoplastic-Left-Heart-Syndrome. He and his family need lots of prayer as his life is very fragile and he will need a lot of TLC, and his family will need lots of strength. Please pray for Baby John and for his family!

"For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them." Psalm 139:13-16

Urban Belly - Vines, Plants, and Red Paint

Urban Mama called me and wanted something fun and unique. I found this cool vine wall in the East Village and she was up for it, she even brought super cute props and had the fun plant idea. And they were up for my ideas too. She is adorable! There is nothing like the first baby!

Playing Catch-Up: 5 Photo Shoots!

I have been very busy lately, and very blessed at the same time. Returning clients, new clients, weddings, wedding consultations... It's been great! Because I've been so busy I haven't been able to post the many great photo sessions that I've had. So I'm playing catch up here.

The K Family

This family is so sweet! We attempted to do the photo shoot at the Salisbury House, but we were literally being eaten alive in the 10 minutes we were there! So we hopped in our vehicles and drove over to the Art Center. The children were so well behaved and cooperative, I was extremely impressed! We have the calendar marked to take another family picture with the new one!

Go here to see more of this family/pregnancy shoot, and check back in August to see their new bundle of joy!

The W Family

We had this sessions scheduled for months and I can't believe how time flew! This family is also very sweet! We went to the Botanical Center in Des Moines for his shoot, early in the morning. The weather was starting to get toasty and sticky. The girls are so cute and sweet! I had fun!

Introducing Baby W!

There's nothing like the first! This little guy is so sweet, and he just absolutely perfect in every way! I had a nice time with him and his parents snapping these shots. I can't wait to see him grow up!

You can see more of Baby W's session here.

Tawny's Senior Pics
We've been talking about this session for a while. First it was her older sister, Shelby, now Tawny, and even the youngest of the three girls is talking senior pictures (she's only going into 3rd grade). Tawny and her family scoped out this location, The Brenton Arboretum, and it is absolutely gorgeous! T's kind of a flower child, so it was perfect. I've known T and her family for a while, we've been "together" for over 2 years, so I was very happy to spend this time with her and her family, and I'm stoked with how the pictures turned out!

K Family

While we were at the Brenton Arboretum we got some family pictures in as well. Shelby will be heading to the Army in a week! This family is so special to me!
♥ you guys and many blessing Shelby!
