Playing Catch-Up: 5 Photo Shoots!

I have been very busy lately, and very blessed at the same time. Returning clients, new clients, weddings, wedding consultations... It's been great! Because I've been so busy I haven't been able to post the many great photo sessions that I've had. So I'm playing catch up here.

The K Family

This family is so sweet! We attempted to do the photo shoot at the Salisbury House, but we were literally being eaten alive in the 10 minutes we were there! So we hopped in our vehicles and drove over to the Art Center. The children were so well behaved and cooperative, I was extremely impressed! We have the calendar marked to take another family picture with the new one!

Go here to see more of this family/pregnancy shoot, and check back in August to see their new bundle of joy!

The W Family

We had this sessions scheduled for months and I can't believe how time flew! This family is also very sweet! We went to the Botanical Center in Des Moines for his shoot, early in the morning. The weather was starting to get toasty and sticky. The girls are so cute and sweet! I had fun!

You can see more of the W Family here.

Introducing Baby W!

There's nothing like the first! This little guy is so sweet, and he just absolutely perfect in every way! I had a nice time with him and his parents snapping these shots. I can't wait to see him grow up!

You can see more of Baby W's session here.

Tawny's Senior Pics
We've been talking about this session for a while. First it was her older sister, Shelby, now Tawny, and even the youngest of the three girls is talking senior pictures (she's only going into 3rd grade). Tawny and her family scoped out this location, The Brenton Arboretum, and it is absolutely gorgeous! T's kind of a flower child, so it was perfect. I've known T and her family for a while, we've been "together" for over 2 years, so I was very happy to spend this time with her and her family, and I'm stoked with how the pictures turned out!
You can see more of T's Senior Pictures here.
K Family

While we were at the Brenton Arboretum we got some family pictures in as well. Shelby will be heading to the Army in a week! This family is so special to me!
♥ you guys and many blessing Shelby!

F & M FabulOus Wedding!

I met M over a year before her wedding, and even then she had details, details and more details! She did a fantastic job preparing for and organizing her wedding day, and because of it she was able to enjoy everything. This group was so fun! Everyone was so kind and generous. I personally thoroughly enjoyed being with them on their special day!
These are only a few of the fabulous pictures from their wedding. You can see more in their album on facebook!

A Unique 50th Anniversary Celebration

I have been extremely blessed this summer by marriages celebrations! I have shot 2 50th anniversaries (remember this?), taken a couple's 30th anniversary pictures, and also a single shot for a couples 60th! This 50th celebration was very unique! The family is very musical and it was more like a concert! There was lots of singing (the beautiful kind), and different instruments and piano pieces. It was a blessing and an honor to attend! And the home made food was also amazing! Here are a few of my favorite shots from the day.

I caught Gene & Carolyn holding hands <♥melting>!
Congratulations Suzanne and JC! Thank you for being such great examples!

Baby I's Debut!

This is baby I's debut. Do you remember his mama? The reason mama was about to pop is cause she couldn't hold in all of this BIG guy. He was 10 lbs 15 oz! Yes that's 1 ounce away from being 11 lbs! Going from Baby A to this big guy I was able to see how a few pounds makes a big difference! I was able to spend a few minutes with this guy, utilizing the great light coming from the windows. Man is he sweet! I just wanted to keep kissing him! And the chubs on his arms, the ones that look like invisible rubber bands are on him, I just wanted to squeeze!
Check out more pictures of this chubby cutie here on facebook!

A Glance at the H family

This family is so sweet! I felt a connection with them because being around them reminded me of my early years as a mother, my first two kids are about the same in age difference. We were able to do some different poses and capture some candid, natural shots before the kids lost their patience. I was so thankful they were willing to try different things and the kids held out as long as they did!
Check out more photos from this shoot on APL's facebook page here. And while you are there, become a fan!
